With the 50th anniversary of the event approaching, the film serves as both a tribute and a historical record—offering a deeply personal perspective on one of the most dramatic evacuations in history.

The premiere WAS be held exactly 50 years to the day of the family’s escape, at a community screening in San Pedro, California. The event honored not only their extraordinary journey but also the remarkable lives the family has built since—and the generations now following in their footsteps.
